Simon has broad experience in the retail and consumer markets and is Grant Thornton’s National Head of Retail. Simon has over 22 years’ experience in accounting and consulting and is pragmatic and commercial with his approach to problem solving and dealing with issues. He really tries to understand your business and its’ drivers. He has a particular interest in retailers’ use of technology for both back office and at the customer interface. Simon has experience in assessing the viability of businesses and projects and advises in a wide range of finance and commercial matters from management reporting and systems through to due diligence reviews and risk management. Simon sits on the advisory board of a hardware wholesaling business and this has given him an appreciation for the challenges in strategy implementation for multisite businesses.
